Any order on any product is delivered free within New Zealand and shipped the same day if ordered prior to 2 pm*. No minimum spend requirements. *The only exceptions to this rule is for off-shore deliveries to Chatham and Stewart Island and hammock stands to Waiheke Island which may incur additional delivery charges. All stock is held on hand in New Zealand and orders are dispatched daily.
I like fast, reliable delivery so my first choice is to always send your order via courier service. My delivery provider preference is NZ Post (Courier Post) and Post Haste, but other providers may be used at my discretion when more suitable. Each company provides an online tracking service and delivery drivers obtain a signature on delivery. You also now have the option to select authority to leave and have your order delivered without a signature being required for added convenience.
To give our courier drivers time to collect and return all packages to the depot for same day dispatch orders need to be received before 2 pm daily (working days). Make the cut and our delivery guidelines are as follows;
**For most hammock stands due to size and weight restrictions Aramex will be the main delivery company used. For the wooden hammock stands, Aramex will be exclusively used due to being the only carrier to accept the package dimensions of this item (>2m) and delivery is only available on this product to urban addresses.
Once your order is ready for dispatch or upon courier collection an email confirmation will be sent along with tracking details so you can track progress and contact the courier provider should your package not have arrived in the specified time frame.
A Saturday delivery option is available to most North Island towns and cities and major South Island centres by request. To check if you address valid for Saturday delivery please use this courier tool; Address Checker. This is not a standard selectable option so you will need to get in touch to arrange this in advance.
Courier delivery is available to RD (rural delivery) addresses but is often transferred to a local delivery agent (usually your NZ Post Rural delivery driver) and a signature is not obtained on delivery.
Should you wish to have an item left at your residence without a signature you can select the 'authority to leave'* option in the 'delivery method' section during checkout. On the shopping cart page you can also include a note requesting for your package to be left somewhere - e.g. "Down the side path through the back gate around the plum tree beside the dog kennel at the back door". Or simply; "Please leave at back door, thanks", will do.
*Please be aware if you select authority to leave (ATL), your order becomes your responsibility once delivery has been made to your address. Hammock Shop will not be liable for theft or negligence as the result of this delivery option being selected. Of course we'll do our best to help where possible should issues arise.
If you have a PO Box/Private Bag address in some instances we may ask for an alternative physical address as some larger items (>1.5m long) are unable to be delivered to these. Hammock stands delivery is not available to PO Boxes and Private Bags.
Contact phone numbers on orders help the courier delivery driver and company contact you should there be any difficulties in locating your address.
Please note our delivery guidelines and dispatch standards as above can be affected by peak delivery periods such as the Christmas and Black Friday/Cyber Monday season. You can still expect the same prompt daily dispatch and most of the time regular delivery timeframes are met, but, courier companies may be impacted by backlogs and delays can occur due to increased workloads. Any quotations of delivery times by Hammock Shop are made in good faith but are estimates only and Hammock Shop shall not be bound by such quotation. As such if purchasing at peak times (Christmas) it pays to order a little earlier.
Delivery is available to Australia for our all non-spreader bar hammocks. This is charged as per prices quoted via the NZ Post website 'rate finder' service and is approx $30 for tracked international courier. Prices will be calculated once address details have been submitted in the checkout process. Or you are welcome to email through for pricing - just let us know what item you are interested in and your delivery address.
We currently offer delivery options to the following countries for our all non-spreader bar hammocks;
Delivery costs are weight based at $55 for up to 1.8kg and $90 for 1.8-3kg and sent via NZ Post International Courier Service. The estimated delivery time is 3-10 working days.
For international orders simply place your order through our online store and the associated shipping costs will be applied at checkout.
Please note; Any associated customs duties, fees, levies or taxes charged in receiving a package into your home country is at your cost and responsibility.
